Our Founder
Chris Hammett ( Founder of Lovic Entertainment) is a seasoned professional drummer and live percussionist with over 15 years of experience delivering high-energy, soul-infused rhythms that elevate every stage he touches. Known for seamlessly blending live percussion with electronic music, Chris has performed alongside more than 200 DJs worldwide, creating immersive, groove-driven performances that fuse deep house, global rhythm, and raw musical instinct.
Chris’s musical journey began at age 10, when he bought his first set of bongos at a thrift store—an early spark that turned into a lifelong obsession with rhythm. After learning cornet (trumpet) and later switching to percussion in the Golden West Marching Band at Travis Air Force Base, he went on to sharpen his craft in New York City’s underground scene, learning directly from African and Latino djembe players whose influence still defines his sound today.
His career quickly evolved into high-profile residencies at iconic venues including Palms Casino Resort, Ghostbar, Moon Nightclub, Rain Nightclub, and the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay with Live Nation. Chris also served as the resident drummer for the grand opening of Élia Beach Club at Virgin Las Vegas, helping establish the venue’s signature poolside sound from day one.
Chris has performed across major U.S. cities and international destinations—including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Miami, New York, Cancun, and Las Vegas—bringing his unmistakable energy and rhythmic precision to nightclubs, pool parties, luxury events, corporate activations, and live showcases.
He is a two-time performer aboard Groove Cruise (2022 & 2025), sharing stages with house music legends Scotty Boy, Gene Farris, and David Penn, where his live percussion elevated electronic sets into unforgettable ocean-front experiences. Chris has also been the resident drummer for Deep House Brunch for over five years, anchoring the rhythm at one of the most celebrated daytime dance experiences in the country.
Beyond performance, Chris is an accomplished event producer and creative curator. He leads entertainment and music programming for the Newport Beach International Boat Show, which has thrived under his direction and was recently named the #1 Boat Show in the United States by USA Today. He is also the founder of The Funky House Collective, a genre-bending platform uniting live musicians and house music in immersive, high-vibe productions.
Most recently, Chris launched Lovic Entertainment, a full-service entertainment agency specializing in talent and artist management, full sound and production, and creative direction. Lovic delivers curated music experiences for venues, branded events, festivals, and poolside stages nationwide.
