Our Founder
Chris Hammett is a seasoned professional drummer and live percussionist with over 15 years of experience delivering high-energy, soul-infused rhythms that elevate any stage he steps onto. Over the course of his career, he has performed alongside over 200 DJs worldwide, blending live percussion with electronic grooves to create unforgettable musical experiences. From luxury nightclubs to pool parties, upscale corporate events, and live showcases, Chris brings a powerful musical presence that blends deep groove, global rhythm, and collaborative spirit.His musical journey began at just 10 years old, buying his first set of bongos at a thrift store. Learning to play the cornett (trumpet) then switching to percussion in the Golden West Marching Band at Travis AFB. This evolved into watching, learning and pefroming with African and Latino djembe players in New York City’s vibrant underground music scene. Chris went on to earn prestigious residencies at iconic venues including Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Ghostbar, Moon Nightclub, Rain Nightclub, and Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay with Live Nation. He also served as the resident drummer for the grand opening of Élia Beach Club at Virgin Las Vegas, where his beats helped define the club’s signature poolside sound.Chris has performed across major U.S. cities and international destinations, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Miami, New York, Cancun, and, of course, Las Vegas—bringing his signature energy and rhythm to every stage.He’s also graced the Groove Cruise ( 2022 & 2025 ), performing alongside house music DJ Legends Scotty Boy, Gene Farris, and David Penn, blending live percussion with electronic music in unforgettable oceanfront sets. Chris has also been the resident drummer for Deep House Brunch for over five years, holding down the rhythm at one of the funnest day brunches in the country.In addition to his performance career, Chris is an accomplished event producer and creative curator. He leads entertainment and music programming for the Newport Beach International Boat Show, which has thrived under his direction and was recently named the #1 Boat Show in the U.S. by USA Today. He also founded The Funky House Collective, a genre-bending platform that unites live musicians and house music in vibrant, immersive shows.Most recently, Chris launched Lovic Entertainment—a full-service entertainment agency specializing in talent and artist management, full sound and production, and creative direction. Lovic Entertainment delivers unforgettable music experiences across venues, branded events, and poolside stages. Whether performing, producing, or building artist platforms, Chris Hammett is the ultimate collaborator—fusing rhythm, vision, and experience to create unforgettable moments that move audiences and inspire connection.
